hi im new to the site thinkits great

i have a 1998 2.8 galaxy ghia x AUTO java script:emoticon(':lol:', 'smid_4')

:lol:

it is in like a safe mode changing up at 3000 rpm

it will change down by moving the leaver but no kickdown

ive had it in the local garage who said the throtle posistion sensor was faulty

i got one from a breakers took it back to the garage who then fitted it but still comes up with faulty tps

but now he says its come up with a a/t data cable fault

an auto electrician has looked at it and can not see a problem

phoned ford they say it will cost about

not sure if these have kickdown cables on the gearbox as old autos, maybe needs tightening also maybe tightening up the accelorator cable will help, done these methods with success on older autos not sure if its of any use on yours, worth checking

cheers but no kickdown cable its done by ecu had the gearbox checked the auto pepole said it was 100%
